Magical South Korean island Jeju explored in the winter by foot and captured in images by the Latvian traveler, adventurer and photographer Kristine Sergejeva. 26 trails, 26 days, 422 km. Each day is described in one blog post presenting the selection of the best photos, highlights of the day and the thought of the day.
Day 6. Route 19 : Jocheon - Gimnyeong Olle. 18.8 km

There is nothing permanent in this life - neither creative explosions and satisfaction, nor sadness and fear. Everything comes and goes... And one thing you can predict for sure that what has come will definitely sooner or later go. And it's okay. Just it is always good to keep in mind this tendency not to be disappointed after all.
So, after the most fruitful day there came the toughest day on the trail. It was cold and dark; it rained and snowed... I felt cold, wet, tired and miserable. And it's okay. I was walking and thinking - I hate this trail, I hate this day, I hate this weather (almost a little mantra of hate). But at the end, this day brought me very beautiful and expressive photos.

Highlights
- Dark and vivid colors - of clouds in the thunderstorm, of the sea, of the landscape.. Like from paintings of old Dutch masters;
- Panda bear (artificial one) in the middle of the field used as a scarecrow;
- Big packaging box in the middle of nowhere on the field with the address of Japanese consulate on it and indications that it is the diplomatic parcel (!?);
- Coffee and cake, coffee and cake.. Twice on my trail (mmmmm, Korea is the land of super tasty cakes and wonderful coffee);
- Huge waves and the Latvian song sounding in my head - "jūra krāc un vēji pūš, priekos bēdās paiet mūžs" (in English - the sea snore and the wind is blowing; the life passes with its joys and sorrows).
