Day 3. Route 17 : Gwangnyeong - Sanji-cheon Olle. 17.8 km
This day was a tough one. It was raining so much and I was all wet despite the "fashion-rain-outfit" alias a big plastic bag-coat against rain. My clothes were wet but I was desperately trying to save my camera, which still got some "supereffects" thanks to rain drops on my lenses (you will see that in the pictures below).
Besides the weather, it was a good experience - Jeju winter colors are particularly beautiful in the rain.
Highlights:
(1) I wanted to have a tea on my way but instead I got some weird substance, which tasted like a milk with sea-weeds. Hmm, I do not know what was it, but I guess it was healthy..
(2) There was a sea cat on the shore!!! He was sitting on the black cliff with sailor-look at his face and did not mind the rain and water drops from the waves at all. You can see his prominent face on the main picture of this blog post.
(3) When I was small, without any doubts I was convinced that the famous game "stone, paper, scissors" is coming from Latvia. Then, later when I saw the same game in one American TV show, I sadly had to presume that the game comes from the US; however, today, when I saw the sculpture devoted to this game on the Memory Street, I am wondering - is Korea the real "motherland" of the "stone, paper, scissors"?!
The Thought of the Day:
When someone really pisses you off, try to remember the last time when you loved her/him; noone is perfect and definitely this person, like you, will never become the one and the only perfect being on the earth. Therefore, remember the good, beautiful side of this person, which you love, and then focus on it and do not let it go.
